[1999 2001] Application
Developer: Designed, developed and marketed a
networked application to handle home showing appointments for real estate
brokerages. Conducted all user interviews and consider the information
gathered to be a critical element for the software design. Sold the software
to several central Indiana real estate offices. The software
retrieves version updates and updates a database via the internet.
Additionally, the application generates an e-mail notification to an agent
when one of their listings is shown.
An experienced programmer at Indianapolis Computer Society's meeting
commented that it had One of the best user interfaces hed ever seen! The
owner of one busy RE/MAX office said, Many of our agents are not crazy about
computers. But with the approval this
is getting from our agents, I think your software is a winner! |

[1978 1990] Business Owner: The Crystal Clean Company in Detroit Michigan, then Indianapolis. Applied
sales techniques, leadership and teamwork skills in a "no growth"
market to grow a janitorial service from 1 person to a group of 10 workers
with over 1000 regular customers in the Detroit metro area in under 3 years.
Sold the Detroit operation in 1984 and developed a similar business in
Indianapolis.
Developed software to co-ordinate work schedules, payment plans and outstanding balances for over 1000 customers. The software calculated cash flow, employee compensation and commissions, and it printed workers job sheets and a receipt for each customer. This application helped the company stand out from the competition. It may be interesting to note that this program ran on a computer with only 16K of memory! |

US Patent granted for the Zoom Balloon, an auto-racing related novelty
item. Designed,
manufactured and sold over 80,000 units near the Indy 500 and other racing
venues, also used as an ad specialty item.
The toy consists of a special car that zooms around the inside surface
of a clear balloon, making an interesting sight & sound. Built equipment
to manufacture the cars, and tools to quickly insert them into the balloons.
Produced 50,000 units in the first month with two employees. Contacted local media the toy was
